• Watkins Glen International
~ Watkins Glen is internationally known for being the home of American Road Racing. Watkins Glen International, nicknamed "The Glen", is owned by International Speedway Corporation. It was long known around the world as the home of the United States Grand Prix, which it hosted for 20 consecutive years, 1961 to 1980, but it has been home to road racing of nearly every class for over 50 years, including Formula One, the World Sportscar Championship, Trans-Am, Can-Am, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, and the IndyCar Series. With rich history dating back to the 1940's, the wonders of the past are united with the exciting activities of today at Watkins Glen International Racetrack.
• Watkins Glen State Park
~ Watkins Glen is also the home to the World Famous Gorge at Watkins Glen State Park. The park features three trails, open mid-May to early November, by which one can climb or descend the gorge. The Southern Rim and Indian Trails run along the wooded rim of the gorge, while the Gorge Trail is closest to the stream and runs over, under and along the park's 19 waterfalls by way of stone bridges and more than 800 stone steps. The trails connect to the Finger Lakes Trail, an 800-milesystem of trails throughout New York. Schuyler County is also home to the Finger Lakes National Forest, the only National Forest in New York.
